Description

Bee surveys following the protocol and site locations from a baseline study conducted in 2015: King D, Milam J, Hardy S (2022). Native Bee Baseline and Effects Monitoring on the Green Mountain National Forest 2015. Sampling event dataset https://doi.org/10.15468/uh5l1a. Surveys were conducted in May and September of 2020, as well as an incidental visit in May of 2022 focused on surveying Andrena cornelli.

Sampling Methods

15 bee bowls (5 white, 5 yellow, and 5 blue) were deployed for 24 hours at each survey location. Additionally, netting was conducted for one day in May of 2022.

Study Extent The Dome - a unique fire adapted mountain peak in Pownal, Vermont, USA managed by the Green Mountain National Forest. Survey locations were distributed at regular intervals along the trail and distributed within and outside of the perimeter of a prescribed burn from April 2019.
