Amphibian spring migration to a small pond was monitored using a drift fence and pitfall traps from 1996-1999 at the VINS Bragdon Preserve in Woodstock, Vermont, USA. Additionally, captures of small mammals were also recorded.

取樣方法

Prior to the start of the 1996 amphibian breeding season, two drift fences with pitfall traps buried along the lengths of each fence, were established near a small farm pond. Pitfall traps were typically opened on rainy days or when rain was expected overnight, and then checked the following morning. Additionally, a metal minnow trap was placed in the pond overnight to capture adults that may have already arrived at the pond for breeding.
